First Year
First Year Entrance Exam
The entrance exam at the Faculty of engineering is one of the most challenging entrance exams a learner might encounter, this is to ensure that those who do make it past this obstacle have truly what it takes to become engineers and face real-life problems with ease.
The Faculty each year provides students with two exams: one for students studying the Lebanese Baccalaureate, and one for students studying the French Baccalaureate. The entrance exam each year is done in coordination with The Ministry of Higher Education to ensure that all the topics covered were taught in the past academic year and no additional unrequired chapters are included.Β
The entrance exam usually happens around July, after your official exams, and consists of five separate sections:
- Math (coef. 100)
- Physics (coef. 60)
- Chemistry (coef. 40)
- Arabic Language (coef. 20)
- Foreign Language, either French or English (coef. 20)
The passing grade is an average of 12/20, 144/240. There is no maximum number of students required for admission.
Please note that the entrance exam each year covers all the required chapters from the General Sciences section taught in the previous academic year for students of the Lebanese Bacc, and all the material covered for students of the French Bacc in math, physics, and chemistry.Β
